No. The union can “tell” you not to come to work, but coming to work or not is your RIGHT and your CHOICE.
NO ONE other than you can decide what’s best for you and your family.
SRC respects our employees’ rights to strike if that is what they want to do. You will not be penalized for exercising your rights.
Yes. SCR has agreed to these union demands:
- SCR agreed to raise the starting wage for PACE drivers to $23.00/hour as the union requested
- SCR agreed to guaranteed hours for full time drivers as the union requested
- SCR agreed to pay for members’ access to the Teamsters’ Health Clinic, also as the union requested.
But even though we met their demands, the offer we still voted down.
A Last, Best, and Final offer is the best offer we feel we can make without compromising the safety, efficiency, and service that we provide our communities.

Our employees are the lifeblood of SCR. That’s why we care about agreeing on contract that is fair to everyone. There are many different costs involved in running a contract safely and efficiently, and we can’t agree to a contract that would jeopardize the service we provide to our vulnerable riders.
